Relaxation Techniques

Are exams, homework, jobs or other obligations making you feel a little stressed out?  Join us for a Relaxation Techniques class.  We will cover breathing, stretching and simple meditation practices that can help calm your nerves and leave you feeling more focused and refreshed.  These straightforward methods can be incorporated into your daily life to reduce stress and improve overall wellness.  All you need is a yoga mat or towel, and we promise you will leave the class with a little less weight on your shoulders!  Contact fitness@mines.edu if you are interested in setting up a class for your group or department.

BODY FUSION CHALLENGE

LOVE 4 YOU, PASSION 4 LIFE, WELLNESS 4 EVER

Have you been wanting to create a new healthy lifestyle? This is the LIFE change for you! In a 3 month challenge you will begin to create the YOU, and the LIFE that you have always dreamed of. This is not a DIET or a WORKOUT program this is a LIFESTYLE change that will be the NEW start to the NEW YOU!

You will be empowered to make goals, make changes and start the steps to FUSING it all together!

  • You will start by weighing in and getting your measurements taken.
  • At the end of each month you will check in and get weight and measurements done, all information will be logged.
  • Through working out on own, attending classes, changing the way you eat, and learning how to create a healthy balanced lifestyle, you will be on your way.
  • The wellness team at Mines can be here to help you on this challenge journey.. By signing up for personal training sessions or group/one on one lifestyle meetings,. Email support also can be available, to help with basic nutrition, motivation, goal setting and keeping you on track.
  • The top 2 faculty /staff and the top 2 students will win prizes for the most weight and inches lost total. Prizes will be awarded at the end of challenge

  • Sign up by emailing wellness@mines.edu
  • Log all your workout hours for February, March and April (at the Fitness Lab Desk)
  • The top 2 staff/faculty and top 2 students will receive prizes the first week in May, the people with the most hours win!!!
