Men's Soccer Team
Welcome to the Colorado School of Mines men's soccer club page!
Our goal is to provide a fun, but competitive soccer environment for all participants. We compete against collegiate club soccer teams in the state of Colorado and other out-of-state college teams in the Rocky Mountain region. Games are exciting, intense, and fast-paced, offering an enjoyable experience for any players or spectators interested in the "World's Game". Although competition is always fervent, sportsmanship remains vital to providing this enjoyable atmosphere, and we pride ourselves in our dignified composure in all events. Please follow the links on this page for additional information.
Competitions and Practices
Our season is during the Fall months, beginning in early September and usually ending around early November. We practice three times per week, and usually have two games on the weekends, totaling around 15 games per season. We also participate in at least one tournament each year, usually somewhere in Colorado. Please follow the links on this page to view our exact competition/game and practice schedule for this year.
Although our season is only in the Fall, members often personally organize Indoor Soccer teams in the Winter/Spring and a Men's League team during the Spring, separate from the collegiate competitions; all this in an effort to keep everyone playing year-round!
Joining the Club
If you are interested in joining the team, tryouts occur within the first two-weeks of school. This year (2008) tryouts have already taken place; however, if you are still interested in playing, please feel free to contact us by following the "Contact" link on this page, and we can make arrangements to get you out and playing.
If you are a prospective student interested in playing next year, it is recommended that you try contacting the club during the late summer, before the start of school, just so we can get tryout information to you. Again, tryouts occur within the first two weeks of school, and anyone interested is welcome to tryout. If you have any questions, feel free to email us anytime, and we'll try to get you any and all the information you need.
